One of those random moments I had in China was when we were walking down this shopping district called Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street at night and then, I spotted this: a wall with Hangeng’s photograph in it.
Hangeng was once a part of Super Junior. He left sometime ago and is now a successful celebrity in China. He is even part of an international movie a while back so I think he is doing rather well on his own.
My boss let me took a couple of shameless fangirl photos. A man was even watching me while my boss took these photos. Haha, shameless.
Apparently, Hangeng is promoting this clothing store called Yishion. It is a big clothing store in China that sells the basic shirts and jeans — kind of like Bench, actually. The brand is literally everywhere! I have seen Yishion clothes in tiangges here in Manila but I didn’t know it was a really big brand until then.
He also has this large poster on the third floor of the building.
I did buy a tank top in this store. I ended up buying because 1.) the staff is adorable despite the language barrier, and 2.) I was praying for a paper bag with Hangeng’s face in it. Haha. Nope, no paperbag, though.
It was thrilling to see someone familiar in China; not many Kpop artists are promoting brands in the Philippines anymore.
XOXO,
Anj
